In this role, you’re not just a mechanic, you’re a vital part of creating life-changing adventures for travelers from around the globe. As an Assistant Mechanic, you’ll help maintain our fleet of vehicles & snowmachines (ATVs coming soon): ensuring that everything runs smoothly & safely, allowing our guests to experience the wild wonders of the Interior with peace of mind.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Live in -or relocate to- the Fairbanks area
- Extensive hands-on experience in vehicle, fleet, &/or small-engine maintenance
- 1-3+ years is highly preferred
- Ability to follow established maintenance workflows & standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks
- Strong troubleshooting abilities & attention to detail
- Willingness to support training activities, learn new skills, & contribute to a positive, safety-focused shop culture
- Strong commitment to safety, risk management, & proper care of equipment & the environment
- Availability to assist with on-call or after-hours recovery operations as needed
YOUR MISSION:
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Mechanic
- Support the proactive maintenance of our fleet to reduce safety risks & prevent tour disruptions
- Assist in the organization, cleanliness, & safe operation of the shop & equipment areas
- Help complete & maintain maintenance checklists, logs, & SOP’s as our operation grows
- Assist in teaching guides & staff basic maintenance tasks & simple troubleshooting
- Respond to breakdowns or field repairs with a calm, resourceful attitude & a willingness to problem-solve under pressure
