As a Snowmachine Guide, you don’t just lead the way—you set the tone for safety, excitement, & discovery. You’ll help guests 
conquer the cold, master their machines, &b experience the magic of Alaska’s winter through your knowledge & leadership. By 
sharing these moments, you get to relive that first-ride thrill again & again, knowing you’ve helped create memories that last 
long after the snow settles.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, skilled, & passionate Snowmachine Guides ready to lead travelers through Fairbanks’ winter 
landscapes & showcase Alaska as a world-class destination for adventure, exploration, & unforgettable experiences.

Turn Alaska’s winter into someone else’s once-in-a-lifetime experience. As a Snowmachine Guide, you’ll lead guests through Fairbanks’ stunning winter landscapes while delivering safe, unforgettable adventures on snowmachines. This role blends leadership, outdoor expertise, & guest connection: you’re not just guiding a tour, you’re shaping core memories.

Snowmachine Guides serve as ambassadors for Alaska, sharing local knowledge, fostering confidence in first-time riders, & creating a fun, supportive atmosphere in fast-changing winter conditions. This is a paid, hands-on position ideal for energetic individuals who thrive outdoors & enjoy working with people from around the world.

 

YOUR MISSION:

  • Lead guided snowmachine tours while maintaining the highest safety standards
  • Deliver a clear, thorough safety briefing before every tour, including machine operation, trail hazards, & emergency procedures
  • Assist guests with proper gear fitting, helmet use, & snowmachine operation
  • Share engaging commentary about Alaska’s history, wildlife, terrain, & winter conditions
  • Monitor weather, trail conditions, & group ability to adapt routes & pacing as needed
  • Manage group dynamics to ensure every guest feels comfortable, confident, & supported
  • Communicate with fellow guides & operations staff to keep tours running smoothly
  • Promote environmental stewardship through responsible riding & respect for natural habitats

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Confident leaders who can guide groups with calm authority & enthusiasm
  • Strong communicators comfortable speaking to groups & explaining technical information clearly
  • A guest-first mindset with a passion for creating memorable, positive experiences
  • Ability to stay organized & punctual in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Comfort teaching safety procedures & basic riding skills to beginners
  • A love for winter, adventure, & sharing Alaska with others

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Live -or relocate to- the Fairbanks area​
  • Valid driver’s license & a clean driving record
    • MUST have extensive experience driving in extreme winter-weather conditions
  • Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence & interpersonal tact
  • Operate autonomously & enforce company safety policies
  • Possess in-depth, local knowledge
  • Willing to work on weekends, & in sub-zero temperatures
