Feel the thrill of adventure as you glide across Alaska’s breathtaking snow-covered landscapes on a powerful snowmachine. Journey through the pristine beauty of the Chena Lakes Recreation Area, where frozen lakes, winding forest trails, and wide-open tundra await.
Follow your expert guide through this winter wonderland, soaking in panoramic mountain views and the crisp Arctic air. Keep an eye out for moose, foxes, and snowshoe hares roaming the snowy wilderness.
After your exhilarating ride, unwind in true Alaskan style with hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and light snacks, warming up while swapping stories from your unforgettable adventure.

Important Information:
- Know Before You Go:
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 30 minutes before your tour for the mandatory safety briefing. Guests arriving 15 minutes or more late will be marked as no-shows and are not eligible for a refund.
- Riding Options: Choose to ride solo or tandem on your snowmachine.
- Driver Requirements: Riders must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license to operate a snowmachine alone.
- Child Policy: Children under 6 are not permitted. Ages 7+ must reach the running boards to ride safely; otherwise, they cannot participate.
- Transportation: No shuttle service provided. Please contact the tour operator for detailed directions.
- Clothing: Warm, winter-appropriate gear is required. We recommend Alaska Element for quality cold-weather rentals or purchases.
 
- Things To Note:
- Please dress appropriately for winter conditions. We recommend wearing a warm jacket, snow pants, insulated boots, gloves, a scarf, and a facemask or balaclava. Weather-appropriate clothing is available for rent or purchase in Fairbanks at Alaska Element.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour for a mandatory safety briefing. Late arrivals may result in a shortened tour to accommodate the next group. Guests arriving 15 minutes or more late will be marked as no-shows and are not eligible for a refund.
- If traveling from Fairbanks, please allow at least 45 minutes for travel. Use Nelson Road only. Do not take Conifer Drive, as vehicles often become stuck on that route.
 
Late Arrivals:
If you are 15 minutes late (or more) for your safety briefing, you will be considered a “no–show“. You will be ineligible to take your tour & for a refund.
- If you are late and miss your tour, you will not be able to be rescheduled. NO refunds will be given.
- If you need to reschedule, you MUST do so at least 24 hours before your tour time.
