Tour Overview
Begin your adventure with a comprehensive safety briefing and gear orientation to ensure you feel confident and comfortable before hitting the trail. You’ll be outfitted with essential safety equipment -including helmets & goggles- and will have the opportunity to ask questions about the snowmachine and riding techniques. Once everyone is ready, you’ll follow your expert guide from our North Pole meeting point into the Chena Lakes Recreation Area, a true winter wonderland of frozen lakes, snow-covered forests, and wide-open tundra. The terrain is ideal for snowmobiling, offering a mix of smooth lake runs and scenic forest trails framed by distant mountain vistas.

Important Details & Preparation
Duration: Approximately 1 hour on-trail experience with a 30-minute safety briefing beforehand.
Options: Choose to ride solo (one rider per machine) or tandem (two riders sharing one snowmobile).
Driver Requirements: Riders must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license to operate a snowmobile.
Child Policy: Children under 6 are not permitted; ages 7+ may participate if they can safely sit with their feet on the running boards.
Clothing: Warm winter gear is required. We recommend layering with moisture-wicking base layers, insulated mid-layers, a waterproof outer shell, winter boots, gloves/mittens, & facemask or balaclava. Rentals are available in Fairbanks if needed.
Arrival: Please arrive 30 minutes before your tour time to complete check-in & the required safety briefing. Guests arriving late (15+ minutes) may be considered no-shows & will be ineligible for a refund.
